Tone It DownCalling other people "thugs" because of their music is racist BS. Time to stop talking like that.
There are plenty of real thugs in Washington DC free-loading as "elected officials". I'm glad someone finally said something about this. It is incredibly racist. Yes urban music is bass heavy, so was motown, disco, a crap ton of rock, and even country. Many people like heavy bass, doesn't make them thugs

To be trurthful here, the post in quesion was not meant to show up in this forum board, it was intended for a private message and was not my set of words anyways it was a quote I borrowed from somewhere else and it ended up in my post at the forum by mistake!!
Once I seen Carl Blare's post about
THUGS I rechecked the post on the board I made and realized the private message box contained my post that was meant for the board and the thread contained a part of my
private message.
The word "thug" was a statement I copied and pasted from another quote, elsewhere and unrelated to this board.
No one here is racist and I asked Carl to remove his reference to the
thug word in this thread, but he choose to ignore my request and I re-edited my request by deleting the request post
all together from this thread. As a MOD, I am sure Carl Blare can see I deleted a post entirely from
this thread.
Being that my PM ended up partially in the posted thread, I reused that
same sentence but edited out the original word
"THUG" for the words
hip hop.Juggeling many tasks at the same time, sometimes things go to the wrong location and this was the case here, no need to get excited over an honest mistake.
If you think I am racist because I think this music is "racist" then I do not know what to tell you all.
The language in this music is much to be desired, I never heard rock say the "N" word on the FM dial in my area, but this station has the "F" word and "N" word in some of it's lyrics after 10:00 PM. Don't defend a station if you can not receive it in your area on your FM dial and hear the on-air lyrics the music they play contains.
Although on-line music does not have to edited for content, to my understanding, over the air radio on the FM BROADCAST BAND is restricted from such language am I NOT RIGHT?
The station plays what is called JAMS, moniker, "we play all the best JAMS! Jammin' 1077!" it is NOT called hip hop or motown, or disco or rock, it is called JAMS!
The music is so badly over processed, that it splatters the whole upper FM dial and I can NOT understand why people from other states would defend a station they can't even receive on their FM receivers!
Not one rock station in my listening area, not even a local in town station with 2 miles of line of sight to the tower, splatters the adjacent channels like this over modulated trash station does!
You can't say the "N" word if you are anything but black, but that word is acceptable on the public air-waves if a black person says it or sings it in thier music?
I am not here to debate or be accused of being racist, but if the word is so badly hated, why is it okay for one human to say it on our public air-waves, but not another?
Claiming
skin color makes all the difference in who says it, makes it just as
racist by the person who says or claims it! Why should
skin color matter at all in any case?
Racist is based on one's hate for another based on their skin color, ethnic back ground or religion and when one says, you're
white you can't say that word, that person is looking at it, at yet, another
racist stand point because they are basing it on another person's
skin color!Again, paying much attention to what another person's
skin color, is also being a "Racist"! That word should not be allowed by
anyone, regardless of
who they are period!!!
I spoke my piece!
I edited this post several times based on the fact that I was a little pissed over the assumptions I am being
racistBruce.
