Its probably several different people, I'd assume fellow engineers or broadcast acquaintances. The P15 sites are pretty frequented by broadcast suppliers, manufacturers, industry insiders, etc; many of them know Bill on a personal level.

Whatever the reason, he obviously cares enough to go through the effort to block IP's as a response to criticism. Which is an infantile way to dealing with it. Or more accurately, not dealing with it.
Criticism isn't bad. If you keep an open mind, you can actually learn a few things from others who may have more knowledge or more experience. And if you're going to give it out (as he is often want to do), you'd better be prepared to take it in return. The rest of the world outside his website doesn't have a 'Moderate' button.

Yup in the Elite section of NRR there are few holds. I think it separates the hobbyists from knowledgeable people who in turn can help people run clean TX's.
The Don't do it motto is not the way to go and only adds to the problem. I hope next year will be better.

Uhhhh, back to the AMT5000 review review.
Instead of wasting time reviewing an obviously illegal EDM transmitter, which is going to require extensive tunedown & signal attenuation to even approach legal operation, plus the use of expensive test equipment to verify, wouldn't it be a much better use of resources to further investigate the AMT5000? It has the potential to be the most efficient of all the legal, Part 15 AM transmitters -it would be far more helpful to the Part 15 world to see how well the AMT5000 can perform under optimal conditions, i.e., with a good ground, radials and using a scope to properly tune it for Class E operation (or not - I suppose that that claim is still up in the air as far as actual proof is concerned). You don't even require that expensive FIM to ensure legal operation.
Such tests would have far more value than looking at the EDM.
