Perhaps using a proxy can bypass a blocked web address by appearing at the far end to be a totally different IP address (?)

You can usually tell when someone is using a proxy.
Heck, use someone else's computer.
Or get someone else to save the web pages and e-mail them to you if you really must see them.

Another Thing That Worked For Two Days
As a consumer of internet services I have a dynamic IP address which had been blocked by HB.
Then, on a random day, my IP address changed.
Bingo! I was able to cruise over and see what HB was posting.
Two days later I was blocked again.
Somebody over there is watching.
I believe an IP address change can be triggered somehow, if you are smart enough.

Yep, you can just release and then renew the IP on your router. That will give you a different IP.

I'm just pointing out that it's virtually impossible to stop people from reading a public access Forum, if they have the will and the knowledge. So why bother?

If it's that important to see what's there go to the nearest library.
I wouldn't mind joining HB but can't with my email address.

Mark They do and that's largely the reason so many people have been banned. I imagine if the ban-list gets too large he'll just take the whole site private. As David has mentioned numerous times, IP banning is tedious and not 100% effective. The bans are mostly just to make a point and not so much of an effort to stop users from seeing content. |

I suspect the point is that people will regularly visit the site, be it freely or by stealth, and pick through the discussions, choose topics of interest then go elsewhere to discuss those topics and while they're at it, bad mouth and insult the source from which they acquired the content, to which others jump on the bandwagon and escalate the insults even further... There is no contribution, it's treated as an open buffet to put in a to-go box and bring to share amongst those who ridicule the place which had provided it.

It benefits HIS little clique and NO ONE else. Case in point? He threatened Part15.us for quoting Keith Hamilton! God forbid Keith should come here and inform us...but hey. If by "hobby broadcasters" you mean part 15 broadcasters and not pirates..
You are proposing that the HB site is not beneficial to all part15 broadcasters and that it is actually bullshit.
Is it not informative?
Is it not accurate?
Is it not promotional?,
is it not protective?
Is it not pro-active?
Is it not instructional?
Is it deceptive?
Is it not maintained?
Is it not supportive?
Is it not progressive?
It's all just total bullshit?..
Then why does everyone go through such extremes to gain access to what it offers, and why does it strive so to maintain the integrity of content and not allow misconceptions or blatant pirate views to infest it, and why is it the ONLY one who maintains a presence of part15 as a legitimate form of broadcasting in major publications.
Is HB bullwhip because it kicked you out due to you acting against one the primary objectives listed above?
Is that why it's bullcrap? If not, then why? I don't get your point.
