A rather interesting concept..

Our goal is for 60dB to bring you ‘the sound of the human voice’ through conversations, interesting interviews and compelling stories,” said Henn. “We have built 60dB to provide our listeners with voices and stories from around the world; to inform and entertain them with the things they care deeply about.”
In doing so, the startup is particularly interested in attracting new producers seeking a bold venue for their spoken word content.

We Already Do That
Everything those guys think they are "inventing" is already what we do everyday!
We set up program schedules catering to our own taste and receive it on our own devices.
That's the basic model they are describing, except they have not included part 15 transmitters as part of their platform.
Their present approach would not reach me because I don't have any of the mobile devices they are targeting, but my streams can reach those same mobile devices, so they are merely re-inventing what we have been doing for years.
NOTE:
End80's opening post is dated two days ago yet I just found it. Cannot understand why I didn't see it right away.

If I understand the theme correctly, it's actually geared as more of a listening experience, not really a broadcasting experience. Something along the line of Pandora except more specific to individual personal taste - and of course talk program instead of music.
Carl, the "Recent Threads" link make it easier not to miss things, but don't click the " Recent Post" because that feels awkward.. at least it does to me.

Giving New and Better Form of Radio a Chance
I give them high marks for trying to invent a novel new platform and wish them luck, although I think they should back off the claim of "better form of radio", as there's nothing wrong with the well established radio model... they might say "an alternative form of radio".
End80 likens it: "Something along the line of Pandora except more specific to individual personal taste."
Yes, I caught that, and I stand by my comparison to our own form of part15/streaming because we personalize our schedules by hand selecting what we want... albeit manually and not by automation.
Pandora failed with me... a few years back I put in a batch of preferences into Pandora and tried to set up a personalized playlist but Pandora was unfamiliar with my taste in music and substituted stuff I didn't care to hear.
Given the whole internet to choose from my choice in programs tends to be more narrow than I think this "new form of radio" could satisfy.
