After tens of thousands of complaints to Google, they are finally relenting and will allow SHOUTcast v1 to function once again. bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=669800#c103All I can say is what a bunch of pricks at google. Now they do this after many of us have gone to the trouble to change our streams over to Shoutcast ver2.I bet Im not the only one whos unhappy about them wasting our time.I for one will never use google chrome again and would never advise people to use it.

The Goofy Goo of Google
From a few years ago I heard computer security people on shows like "Security Now" with Leo LaPort and John Gibson talk about how Google was mainly in the business of snooping us out right down to the pixel to provide the CIA with a total picture of everything we did on line.
Since then I have only used a search engine that does not track users and of course I never considered going to Chrome.
Many thanks Johny for sounding the alert about another failing on the part of Google.

Google chrome have now aloud the streams to run again with an update, but they are going to drop support again in the next version. Who knows what they are thinking.

Google did say that they would allow the stream protocol on ports other than 80 in the next version via a 'hack' (they're going to check for Shoutcast streams specifically). So it appears that they will continue support for Shoutcast V1, just not anything else using that protocol.

How Does One Complain to Google
In fact, how does one complain to any of the big internet companies?
In his opening post Johny wrote: "After tens of thousands of complaints to Google, they are finally relenting and will allow..."
Once I know how to do it I'll go into the complaint business.

I'm not a big fan of Shoutcast V2 that is why I'm using Icecast V2 KH.
