Below AM
Not the best title, it would be more proper to have said "Below MW" since it is possible to do AM below MW (Medium Wave).
Very interesting article about the experimentation happening on Long Wave frequencies.
At first I thought mention of FCC Rules Part 5 was a typographical error... I was thinking they meant to say "Part 15". But the article is correct, Part 5 is "Experimental Radio Service (other than broadcast)".
Actually they might have included Part 15 which permits Long Wave operation between 160 - 190 kHz and many Radio Amateurs experiment under this section of the Rules.
I will be building and reporting on a long wave transmitter in 2017 under the project name "Deep Voice", with technical contributions from Radio8Z, PhilB, MRAM 1500 and MICRO1700.

Below AMCarl Berates Me: "Not the best title, it would be more proper to have said "Below MW" since it is possible to do AM below MW (Medium Wave)."I question myself: Why would Carl say that? LW is below MW. AM is a modulation technique. How is it possible to be Below AM?.

No You're Wrong You Fool
DHR mistakenly thinks I berated him for the title "Below AM" but he never used that title.
It was not he, it was me who used that title and then berated myself because of the very reasons mentioned by DHR in his ridiculously needless self-defense.
