These are fertile times for radio programmers.
With a 24-hour schedule to fill KDX has many more excellent programs to choose from than we can carry without starting a second station.
This evening, for example, looking at our concert schedule, we wondered about the great programs we pass up to keep room for the talk shows which remain an important mission for KDX.
Last June at affiliate renewal time KDX nearly dropped concert music over the fact that music drives the emotions and can change the way a person feels at any given time but sometimes this can be a good thing.
Then too all the talk radio, however informative and enlightening it may be, doesn't seem to contribute much to world intelligence as the general mentality seems to be dropping further into mass stupidity despite stations like KDX and its part 15 associates.
There is a strong inclination to become a station of test tones and range experiments with no programming at all. Screw listeners. Let them tune around on their own. They could all start stations if it mattered to them.
