The next regular ALPB TeamSpeak meeting will be this Saturday, December 3rd at 7 pm Eastern Time. Currently we are engaged in discussion regarding a change to The ALPB Mission Statement. Conceived by member Carl of KDX Worldround Radio, a motion was brought to the floor by Neil, Radio8Z. Subsequent motions to modify suggested statements were also brought to the floor. Although consuming to deal with, this is important as we as a group must agree on what and who The ALPB is, the purpose of our Mission Statement. Unfortunately, I'm going to be traveling for a week starting this Wednesday, so won't be at the meeting. I've given my comments about the mission statement to Bob, and hopefully they can be read into the discussion.

All Set to MeetSince beginning as an organization nearly 4-years ago the ALPB has grown into the most influential force in modern low power radio. By my point of view the present review of the "Mission Statement" is being tackled with the objective of making our purpose and identity as plain and clear as possible to newcomers as yet unfamiliar with what we do. Added to that, as Chairman Bob Felmly has reminded, is our loyalty to the original vision of founder Lefty Gomez, which we hope to reflect in our Mission Statement.
