You've probably heard that there are licensed broadcast stations that share frequencies.
Part 15 low power radio stations would need to share frequencies if a great many people started operating stations in close proximity to each other... there just wouldn't be enough frequencies for everybody to have a full time channel of their own.
That's not my problem at the moment, but I have started sharing a frequency with myself and I'll explain why.
I use 89.9 FM for audio editing which is sort of "closed-circuit" in that it is not intended for the stream audience nor the main KDX program frequencies.
Also, up until today, I was using 88.5 FM for another utility purpose, that of relaying vinyl records from a back room out to the digital work station. But I realized it would actually be simpler to use 89.9 for both production purposes, the only step that needs careful attention is being sure to only use one transmitter at a time.
Yes, there are two different transmitters for the 89.9 service.
