I love to listen to shortwave radio broadcasts from the past, those shows i could have heard if i had a shortwave radio when i was younger or had i been born before 1967. And some of those broadcasts are archived on the internet at YouTube, SoundCloud and a host of personal .com websites that offer free downloads of archived shows.
It's downright convenient, want to know what was going on in the world on a specific date? Search Google and voila!
But all that is about to change, at least with one legacy shortwave station. Radio Netherlands.
Read this article about how Radio Netherlands and PCJ Media have seen to it that any archives of their past shows are saved for posterity but at a price.
Then again, you could hear some of these past shows if you're affiliated with PCJ Media with Keith Perron
