The webcam question has been asked... "I would like to have a webcam on my website but am not sure what to show."
Today Carl Blare realized how to employ a webcam and make it really pay off.
Placement advertising.
We see it all the time in movies and on TV shows... a beer bottle clearly exhibiting a particular brand is seen on the counter in Meryl Streep's movie kitchen. Clint Eastwood drives a certain make and model of car seen throughout the film. Maybe it's a Sony Wide-Screen TV or something as simple as a tube of toothpaste.
Placement advertising is an entire business and ad agency men and women are out there trying to get their products placed in movie and TV scenes.
Movie and TV producers spend part of their time choosing from among available products for placement in scenes.
Alright, so KDX has a webcam showing our turntable spinning, and in the foreground is a beautiful bottle of wine from a local vintner. Internet browsers from around the world see the wine when they visit our website. The winery in Augusta Missouri is so pleased they keep us stocked with cases of their product.
A national grocery chain might want to show colorful packages of food products... our Upper Management Lounge is stocked with groceries year-round.
Placement advertising on webcam.
Thank me.

I would have to clean my desk off to have a webcam in the studio. As of today, you can't see the desktop. But you may be on to something! I don't need to be on camera. I am not webcam material!

Maybe You Don't Get It
The webcam doesn't have to show your desk or your mug.
The webcam can be set up in a remote corner of the basement with inexpensive LED lighting while you collect payoffs up in your luxury lounge.
All you need to remember is never do anything suspicious in that corner of the basement.
I plan to do this.
My webcam will begin with a big font message...
This picture could be your product shown large. You'd benefit, guaranteed by KDX Worldround Radio.
I have not yet decided which vinyl record to show spinning in the background.

Well poo! I can't give up the chance to be on radio or even video! Perhaps a green wall with an occasional demonstration of the product for those "better" clients would be appropriate.
Get that prototype going, I want to be able to say I know someone that has been successful with a new venture! It will be a "I remember when Carl was just a small time Part 15'er" memory!
"Money Money Money" by ABBA or "If You Got The Money" by Left Frizzel might be candidates for the record spinning...

Ya! That's All There Is To It
Don't try. This is a no breather.
Money at the front door...
Pictures of placement products at the back door.
What could possibly go wrong?

CraigF Causes CarlB to Have An Idea
"Money, Money Money" and your other suggestion would be good as spinning background... which makes me think of subliminal advertising!
The title of the spinning record could be used to induce a mood change to, say, smiling, happy and generous!
Titles with key words are the trick: songs with "success" in the title or "job promotion".

The title of the spinning record could be used to induce a mood change to, say, smiling, happy and generous! Titles with key words are the trick: songs with "success" in the title or "job promotion". I have finally become most useful. I have brought forth life in the form of an idea! CarlB is going to be using subliminal (send CraigF money) advertising. Think it is a great (send CraigF money) idea also. If everyone (send CraigF money) uses Carl's idea it will be a great chance to bring spin records that otherwise might not be used! I used to experiment with people when I wanted to mess with them. During a normal (if you can have one with me, it is rare) conversation, I would randomly insert a word in a sentence towards the end and see if I could plant an idea. It was kind of funny, and sometimes the conversation would drift that way, without the obvious what did you just say "inserted word". I may try that tomorrow. And yes, I really have done this.

Really Got Something Here
The use of "suggestion" words and watching to see their effect was very astute of CraigF and there might be a book deal in it if we had more to say about it than one paragraph.
Suggestion words could be used in sales, social interchange, work relations, and even getting out of parking tickets. Think of all the speeding we could do with a hot woman on our way to the job promotion.
