The last few weeks have been strange.
It all began when I was experimenting with a microphone I was building. It sounded distorted and I began looking for the design flaw, but I noticed that another microphone also sounded distorted which didn't make sense, because it had always sounded fine.
So, thinking that the experimental microphone might not be distorted I began looking for some other explanation. That's when my audio streaming software went wild and started crashing.
As I was trouble-shooting the software the Radio Shack Microphone Mixer died, and no other mixers would function, suggesting a problem with the computer sound card.
Now that almost everything has been recovered I'm still looking back at the accident scene trying to find a correct description of exactly what went wrong, and in the process I've found religion.
There really are invisible fairies and goblins that like to meddle with us and maybe we could get along together if only they spoke English.
