a great resource for part 15 operators. The measurement tool is very helpful when determining your station's actual range.

Wish here in Deltaville it would show the ground so when range is plotted I could see for myself what it will do. When I lived in Elizabeth City, NC I could actually see the landmarks and knew what to expect.

Part 15 Man Go
How different is a Part 15 man climbing through people's yards measuring signal, from Pokemon Go players doing the same thing.

I am sure we will have to have Pokémon legislation soon to prevent the rampant hunting of said Pokémon. Pokémon season perhaps?
Be ware of the illusive Part 15 Pokémon known as Transmiton. It will produce excessive radio frequency power and disrupt your captured Pokémon's.

Druid Hills Radio, John, I use Google Earth Pro, it is now freeware from Google.inc
I have to agree I use it a lot to visit radio stations without actually being there. Simply use the ground level view for that.
I use the measuring tool for the distance of television stations I get on OVER - THE - AIR TV, it also helps with antenna positioning as well.
Bruce.

Google Maps can do the same thing as well. I wonder if there is much difference between the two?

Google Maps can do the same thing as well. I wonder if there is much difference between the two? Here's a link to Google Earth Professional. It used to be a premium piece of software, now it is freeware, no nag ads or malware. Description: Google Earth Pro has more features for advanced users. In Earth Pro, you can: •Measure distances and elevations in 3D •Geo-locate up to 2500 addresses •Map GIS data •Print in high resolution support.google.com/earth/answer/176160?hl=enDOWNLOAD LINK: www.google.com/intl/en/earth/download/gep/agree.htmlDownload it and give it a test run. (by the way, this software also allows you to explore outer space. If you download the .kmz files from Radio Fool, it puts icons with the station call letters on your aerial Earth view. Main web site www.fmfool.com/ Station Icons (note this is quite a bit out of date) www.fmfool.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16Best of luck to you in exploring Google Earth Pro. Bruce.
