ALPB MEETING MAY 7, 2016
A large turnout including another new member assembled in the Teamspeak Meeting Room for the two meetings.
Yes, every ALPB meeting consists of two meetings... the "official" meeting wherein business gets conducted, and the "meeting after the meeting" when we get down to stuff.
As memory serves, two items got dealt with last night lead by Chairman MRAM Bob... under the category of "old business" we raised the question of the ALPB Facebook Page which was generated by member Atrain and become an attraction leading to growth in membership, the matter being the question of adding a second administrator to the Facebook Page for circumstances when Atrain might be away on other business. In a decisive action Atrain named TheLegacy as second administrator for the Page and we moved on to new business.
Carl "Mister" Blare announced the transfer of Part 15 related assets from the kdxradio(dot)com website to an exclusive linkup with thealpb(dot)com and part15(dot)us. This makes the ALPB and part15(dot)us the sole sources of The Low Power Hour and other KDX radio programs, and the ALPB now provides the exclusive link to a vast collection of part 15 related resource links including the "AM, FM and SW Dials" which connect to part 15 radio stations and their information.
Upon a typically dignified and ceremonial close to the main part of the meeting Johny C. in Ragland, New Zealand, lit up his jukebox, Atrain Radio in New Jersey provided light Reggae music with occasional backward masking tricks, and off-the-record business began...
Carl "Mister" had a Zara question which was quickly solved, Jeff Station8 reported on the building of his new Ramsey FM100 radio transmitter, Blue Bucket Radio, recovering from serious storms in the Kentucky mountains, is taking weather spotter classes, and other things got said over a two hour period.
Join the ALPB in time for the next meeting on May 21.
