Sitting here in the Vacuum Room at KDX Worldround Radio as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival streams from WWOZ, my brain came up with "Honey Radio." What the ___ is Carl Blare drinking, you might well ask. Well, that's not really the point. The reason for "Honey Radio" is the well worn notion that programming is the "honey" that attracts listeners into a trap where the real objective is to infiltrate their ears and minds with advertising messages. Naturally I searched the term "honey radio" and found that someone has beat me to the idea. This link takes us to the story, skip the first part about how the station is presently "christian", the most boring tune-out ever contrived. Scroll down to the "Honey Radio" part. HONEY RADIO

That's about right, Johny, even sticky sweet... but for some reason advertisers think they've done something if they can get a listener and a commercial in the same place at the same time.
I actually like commercials because I used to write and produce them, so to me they are little tiny bits of bad art, but most people don't care to hear them.
When watching movies I love commercial breaks so I can take time out to comb my hair and look for cheese.
The real measure of a commercial should be whether it sells the product or service. I have never actually responded to any commercial by going to the store to get mine.
Getting back to basics, if your radio station has the right honey, it will be an easy sell to advertisers, and when money is coming in morality and ethics become secondary.

Does this have anything to do with a "Honey Do" list?
