I always believed the expression "rears its head" was tantamount to sticking a head up you-know-where, but I stand corrected.
Almost as bad, Daylight Time returns overnight between March 12 and 13 when we set our clock ahead one-hour, depriving ourselves under coercion of one full hour which is all worn out by the time it comes back in many months.
There was the year I refused to do it, and confusion ensued.

Our daylight savings ends Sunday, 3 April 2016, 3:00:00 a.m. clocks are turned backward, But returns Sunday, 25 September 2016, 2:00:00 a.m. clocks are turned forward 1 hour. So if I work that out right we now have more daylight saving hours a year than we have normal hours. Where do I store all these extra hours.

I knew an elderly man that never set his clocks forward or backwards and could keep track of doctors appointments etc like nobodies business. He was a great friend and I learned much from the short time i knew him.
