Well, I went to update the Oompah Hour show on TheALPB.us website and it seems Part15.us is having some DNS problems and the site won't open. That's where I get the current playlist info for the Oompah Hour show.
And, since TheALPB.us is on the same servers, it won't open either.
I was able to FTP to the servers and send the updated Oompah hour page so I guess the servers are still running, just can't open the aforementioned pages.
As such, I'll have to wait to finish updating this weeks Oompah Hour show archive.

Actually, it's Part15.org but it's still down as well as TheALPB.us.
Anyone have any news on this?
Edit: I have emailed Jon Paul, owner Part15.org, to see if he can advise on the status.

The site has become so overladen with ads saturating every nook and cranny that's its kind of a nuisance to visit. Maybe all that ad coding has something to do with the site going down so often.

Well, the good news is both sites are back on-line. Don't know if perhaps there was some maintenance going on, an unknown failure or something else. Perhaps my email to Jon Paul brought it to their attention or it simply came back up. Anyway, The ALPB appreciates everything they do to support The ALPB by providing space on their servers for our website. Now I just have to get Tim to put up the Oompah Hour playlist so I can finish updating the Oompah Hour page at TheALPB.us.

By the way, Part15.org still links to thealpb.com

Well, yes and no.
The URL they have is no longer correct. When Jim Henry became leader of the group, I transferred the Domain name ownership to him. Shortly after, Jim passed away leaving the Domain name in limbo as only he could renew it. When it was about to expire I approached "Go Daddy" to see if I could renew it or have it transferred back to my name.
"Go Daddy" said nope. I had to wait until it expired and then bid on it. They did take $40 bucks from me to lock me in. They said if anybody else bid on it they would notify me and I could bid it up. Well, an hour before the deadline a scalper bid for it and I didn't get any notice. By-By TheALPB.com...
Oh, I could buy it from the new owner for $2195, NOT. Instead I was able to obtain TheALPB.us which was fine with me.
Short story, the current URL is TheALPB.us and "Go Daddy" will never get a favorable recommendation from me.
Also, the info at Part15.org for The ALPB still lists Jim Henry as the contact and makes reference to becoming a member. Due to internal disputes the group more or less disbanded. I reclaimed both The ALPB and this forum (formerly called The ALPB Forum) as I (and Lefty Gomez) originally founded and paid for the operation of both the website and the forum.
I have requested on more than one occasion for the info at Part15.org to be updated but to no avail.
I keep this forum going as well as The ALPB website for the sake of the hobby.
