Since we have a conventional FM using our podcast studio as a backup, we have an EAS receiver in place and wired into the audio chain. If the EAS activates, it will trigger ceiling-mounted beacons. While our friends and supporters are generous to a fault, sometime life precludes them from following up on their offers of assistance. With that said, we are going in a different direction than originally anticipated for the countertop for the engineers workstation. This countertop was found on eBAY for less then the material cost of one of the countertops that were offered, even with shipping from it's former location. On a plus note, it gives us room for both the engineer and someone to work social media during a podcast or live event.
Other small stuff included adding rack kits and hardware to share the keyboard, video, and mouse between the server, and cleaning up the cabling between the VoIP gateway and rest of the phone hardwware.

With the wrap-up of one of our major events last weekend, the team started picking up the smaller tasks that were deferred.... Thanks to one of the host site board members (that's what board members are for!) we now have a FiOS feed on site. Replaced a 300/35 Mbps cable modem, with 500/500 Mbps FiOS connection Installed more ladder rack to manage the copper, fiber optic, and power cables to the equipment.

Running UL listed tray cable for the UPS power inputs. Same stuff is used in central office power systems.

Here's the next batch of switches in the makerspace staged for installation. Testing a borrowed Thor #F-2A-XLR-TXRX audio over fiber adapter between the mixer and transmitter. thorbroadcast.com/product/xlr-audio-over-fiber-1.html , rather then sending the audio as IP data. All e-waste or recovered from the dumpster.

Another small project out of the way - A while back, we acquired a quantity of McPhilben N-6892 light fixtures as salvage via an on-line auction. Fast forward, we found the artwork and made new decals to modify them into an clone of the Mc Philben company "on the air" lights seen in studios everywhere. Only issue was they take a specific 20W incandescent bulb (DC bayonet base BA15D T 6.5" lamp) Found an LED candidate on-line that was a drop-in fit, and runs way cooler....
Artwork is available let me know & I will post a link.
