Anthony Messina and I will be addressing the annual Shortwave Listeners Festival, Friday February 18th (tomorrow) at 8:45 am. The Festival is being held at the Hilton Double Tree in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Anthony will be discussing Part 15 broadcasting and I will introduce the group to The ALPB.
We hope the presentation will encourage more people to participate in the legal form of license free, low power broadcasting as opposed to Pirate broadcasting which so many people wrongly associate with our broadcasting.
Anthony plans to broadcast the presentation live on his UStream WHAR channel for those interested.
We'll try to have an expose' on the 'Fest to present later.

Places Everybody
Hello to Bob and Anthony in Plymouth Meeting and to Jeff in Orange Park.
This is Carl here in the Midwaste all set to record from the WHAR stream.
Later I will release what I get in the form of Low Power Hour No. 111.
This is a great moment for man. Something or other for mankind.

Hello ALPB,
This is exciting news and I cannot wait to hear about the fest, would make my day as i am under the weather. Strange saying, under the weather, aren't we all technically under the weather and the weather under us? Around us? Anyway, i am trying to recover by self medicating. Fireball is all i can say.

Getting Out From Under
Barry, last week I had that under the weather illness, and I wrapped up in blankets and said the word "oh" seven-hundred times.
We are lucky because we have part 15 to come back to.

News flash... An extended power outage at the MRAM Communications Complex has exhausted the battery powered back systems.
As a result the TeamSpeak server is offline as well as all other MRAM streaming and web services.
Unfortunately our generator backup is not self starting.
Hopefully I will return to the complex from Plymouth Meeting, PA in time to restore all services before The ALPB TeamSpeak meeting scheduled for 8:00 pm this evening.
If the TeamSpeak server is offline at meeting time you can use The ALPB Forum board, using the "Shout Box" for rapid fire text exchanges as a backup to our usual audio chat.

News Update...
My emergency technician was able to respond, restarting services as power came back online.
Barring any other unusual circumstance we should be good to go.
