Was on my way to the supermarket and passed a pile of stuff on the curb. Decided to pull over and take a look. Glad I did. There were two Rek-O-Kut N-33H turntables buried in the heap. One is missing the tone arm, the second has a Micropoise arm, not sure what model, sadly missing the headshell.
Soaking the moving parts with CLP break-free oil, will smoke test the motors over the weekend.
EDIT: Anyone have a favorite sources for belts, cartridges, and stylus?

I remember Rek-O-Kut turntables at a local college station, heavy and industrial, nothing like home turntables, unless it was something from a 1940s system.
Great find!

With the help of a neighbor, I drilled out the rivets on both motors and replaced the bearings. Using the ratty belt salvaged from the unit missing the tone arm, I am seeing 33.3 RPM at the platter for both machines.
Will be ordering a belt and headshell shortly....

New belt and headshell arrived, mounted my Stanton 680 EL cartridge and stylus, dialed in the tracking weight to 3.0 grams.
Having a bit of fun pulling out the LP's from storage for a listen....
