Kent State University, Kent Ohio, started a college radio station in 1950. On 89.7, the call is WKSU.
Over the years they have grown to be the largest NPR station in Ohio.
I recently visited when they had an Open House. Impressive setup with several studios for On-Air and production from a single booth to a large live room.
Of course the Open House was geared towards Fund Raising with an elaborate spread of food and drink and it was jammed with a crowd of people.
We met and spoke with Jeff St. Clair, one of the more popular air personalities at WKSU.
Attached are a couple shots of Jeff in the studio where he provided a very close, personal meeting with the visitors.
