I have an Autogram AC-6 Board Coming and Got a Heil Classic Pro. these two will look great together,,
pic of the exact heil i got,,,
And the Autogram AC-6
it will be fun trying to replace the A-50 with the Autogram, it will suck even more if i do all of that and discover the autogram needs work.
I trust the guy i'm getting the autogram from i just don't trust the shipper transporting such a large heavy and somewhat fragile item.
it will be nice to have another autogram, especially in combination with this particular microphone.

That Heil does look like a classic mic, good for oldies, the kind rock and roll DJs would grab hold of and shout into in the 1950s and rattle the station's tubes.
The Autogram looks nice, like something that could be found at smaller stations as an on-air board. I had been thinking I could use a board with 4 main pots, 2 stereo sources, and two mics, and have it rotary like that. I saw the blog of a station with a nice little 4-pot board, and was admiring it.
Many things are on the computer, but it would be nice to have that extra stereo input for turntable, CD, cassette when needed. I'd probably get into having other sources and quickly need more inputs.
I started with my own rotary board in the little broadcaster I had at high school age, taking the pots out of junk radios and mounting them to a sheet of aluminum that was attached to a wooden frame with framing nails. It was a passive mixer that fed a mic jack on a tape deck, and it worked reasonably well for being so simple.
Enjoy it and let us know how it goes, and keep on with AM stereo plans too!
