Good Morning Bluebucket
It will be great if that fiber keeps expanding until it reaches your location at Bluebucket Central. You'll make a quantum jump ahead of all the rest of part 15 land.
And if you build a simple one-camera TV studio maybe you can be put on satellite?

A little off topic...
There was a show on one of the satellites called "Tootle Vision". The guy worked for a satellite up/down link company and bought time in the wee hours on the cheap.
He operated out of the back of his pickup camper truck. I loved it! It was so real that it was fun to watch.
He would do taped on the street interviews, ran movies and simply talked about his viewers that sent material in to air.
He became very popular to the point where he organized a group meeting in Las Vegas and hundreds of people showed for it.
That was probably 20 or more years ago. Don't know if he's still in the business.
So get on a sat link Bluebucket!

Great responses guys, I would have had probably more questions for the commissioner than he would have had time for but it would have been nice to ask a few questions about increasing power on some of the part 15 channels, opening up some channels in shortwave other than 13.560 and many more.
As for broadband, it won't take off here until about 2017 or so, the idea is to bring folks back to this region with the promise of really fast internet not only for business use but residential as well. So far some people are considering the move.
I think I looked into satellite at one point after cable tv turned me down after asking if i could get my station on their message board. It was expensive then and i am sure it is even more so now.

What, no public service bulletin board or community access channel provided by the cable franchise?

Trouble is, i don't know if they have a bulletin board or community access channel. We don't have television on our package, just the internet service. Hang on i'll look, (time passes) ok i looked in their channel line up .....nothing. There is a government channel and 2 school channels....that is odd. TVS CABLE LINK

Coffee House Rock
In all the Audio Genres seen on your cable line-up page I think I might enjoy "Coffee House Rock."
I like coffee, houses, and rock...
What could be bad about that?

Sub-Categories of RockI just spent a half-hour sampling royalty-free rock music at Free Music Archive. Under the genre ROCK they have 28 sub-categories, but no Coffee House Rock. FREE MUSIC ARCHIVE FRONT DOOR

If you're into Retro Rock, there is a Canadian band doing the late 50's early 60's beach music, all instrumental. They're a perfect copy of The Ventures. Listen to their version of HELLS GATE.
You'll find several of their tunes on YouTube also. Not royalty free unfortunately.
The cool thing about this band is they use the recording techniques of the era; two track live recording, double tracking vocals, careful mic placement for getting the right mix...
Check them out at their WEBSITE.

TVS CABLE LINKNot all cable systems list the public access channels or community bulletin board channels on their web site's channel line up, but it is a requirement to have a public access channel or community bulletin board channels. They also have to provide local educational institutions such as high schools their own student ran channel. I did not look at the line up at the link you provided, but I take it Carl was referring to those stupid channels that are often called music hits or music choice channels. They tie up 60 channels with on screen graphics describing the song and the group's history. I find having this on television is a load of crap channels I have to pass over as I attempt to find worthy to watch television shows. On my Comcast cable service, I'd been happier, if they placed those channels at the highest end of the channel layout and not midway through the channel listing. Bruce.
