Good to see someone is putting the side effect of that disturbance to use detecting earthquakes.
That's precise stuff that a light wave in a fiber could be shaken enough to alter its pattern in a way that can be read.
Since this is only a start, imagine how much it can be refined. I wonder what other things a fiber could possibly detect?
