A Book Outline
A radio station consists of more than a transmitter with antenna.
A radio station is built of components under the master headings Studio Environment, Law, Programming, Human Relations, Safety and Technology.
Each one of these categories is essential to the completeness and success of the station.
The ALPB strives to cover these areas as best we can based on the input of members and links to relevant articles.
Taken all together these components comprise a vast territory of topics and sub-topics.
Yet we are persistently trolled by particular individuals who would limit conversations exclusively to what they deem suitable for a hobby radio site. Speaking reason to them, as we are trying to do here, deflects from the lead plate in their head and they return again with the same uninformed complaint.
Perhaps agitators are a by-product of the freedom of expression possible when everyone has equal access to a keyboard.
As long as we have the personnel and contributions to offer higher-intelligence and enlightened guidance the ALPB will fully represent low power radio in all its aspects.
If we become out-numbered by our detractors, there will first come a time of great dullness, followed by forum extinction.

The Health of Symbiotic Relationship
The word "symbiotic" means "living together", the way twins do in the womb, for example.
The ALPB Forums and Part15.org have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship from the start, and just like twins, each has a distinctive personality.
Part15.org has been traditionally a starter school, for people beginning their experience with radio electronics in the desire to build a radio station.
The ALPB has evolved to be the site for the mature fully functional radio operator who has built his station and now broadcasts programs and manages day to day following FCC rules and serving as an asset to the vicinity.
The distinctions between the two forum sites are essential to their health. The reason we are saying this now is because attempts are made to convert the ALPB Forum into a clone of Part15.org, putting both sites on the same lower level. If this is done we will become redundant and serve no further purpose.
To our health.

That sounds like a toast
Maybe some of the attempted cloning, or perhaps 'guidance towards a singularity of character' is because Part-15 US, (now .org) has been having problems recently.
In terms of a place that residents likely visit every day, down time measured in weeks, days of not being able to log in, or even hours, like last night's database error would be a cause for worry and even radio withdrawal.
Some might be wishing that ALPB forums could be like its sister site has been, to be more interesting to them and fill in the gaps of the other site.
I'd think to thrive they should distinctive enough, or else it would come down to less important things about why you'd attend one site or the other, like the interface, the stations on a site, or even which site you found first.
