Conflict of Interests
KDX Worldround Radio is a great success except for its failings. But we can't blame the station. The problem is its listener-manager.
The human attention span is very one directional. While being treated to the best radio programs on the air for entire days there's an incredible amount of listening to do, and true listening requires devoting full attention to what's being said.
We would also like to focus attention on technical maintenance and in-depth engineering projects but doing so puts the radio's audio into the background where whatever is being talked about escapes comprehension. The best solution to this is to close the station and re-schedule for another day while tending to technical undertakings.
Probably the height of ambition is the attempt to be two people.

Constant Bombardment
As amazing as it is, the web is also loaded with endless annoyances.
Pop-up-windows that smear out something we are trying to read are a big one.
Many of them are desperate appeals for money which reduce a website to the level of a bum on the street.
Some are pushy attempts to force advertising which would serve no purpose at all even if it were viewed because we're not shopping for whatever it is.
Web advertising will only be a big business until people realize that it goes mostly ignored.
Having been a commercial producer I will watch the occasional ad on Youtube until I see its flaws... like today an ad for something that had printed words following the announcer until the word "prey" was misspelled "pray", and I realized the producers were borderline illiterate.
This pop-up that I'm writing might annoy someone... another guy complaining about stuff.
The ALPB should invent a pop-up zapper.
