The next regular TeamSpeak meeting of The ALPB will be January 16th at 8:00 pm EST (0100 UTC Sunday.) Called away for an emergency (job related) the last meeting went on as specified in our Charter Document. Carl Blare of KDX Worldround Radio took the chair and ran with it. I was able to check in momentarily from my SmartPhone while on a break and then later in the evening before the meeting after the meeting ended. Thanks Carl! The business meetings have been short as we're all caught up. But it's the meeting after the meeting we're all there for, lots of interesting discussions. If you'd like to join in just let us know. Read over the Charter Document found at TheALPB.com. If you're OK with it then download and install TeamSpeak Client 3 and let me know. I provide the server address and password and you'll be ready to go. Click on the "CONTACT" button at TheALPB.com and let me know!

Playing at Business
Radio8Z (Neil) has also filled in as substitute chairman for past ALPB Meetings and anyone of the members could handle the job which has been made quite simple thanks to Bob MRAM's efficient way of applying Robert's Rules of Order as needed to run an orderly meeting.
In the beginning there were the usual chorus of negators who said the ALPB would crash and never quite burn, and there were a few who stomped out because we weren't planning to be an activist lobby organization, but now the ALPB is stronger than ever and gaining new members.
MRAM's description of the ALPB as a "voice forum" is a good one; an in person audio version of a text forum.
Every meeting asks "Will there be any new business?"
For this next meeting on January 16 I plan to speak up and say, "Yes, I have some new business."
Bob will say, "Carl, you have the floor."
I will say, "Up until now our members are people... that is, persons who own and operate Part 15 radio stations. I suggest we open membership to stations themselves... for example, instead of joining as Carl Blare, I could join as KDX Worldround Radio."
Johny C. in Ragland New Zealand might say, "Carl, if you also join as KDX will you get two votes?"
Then I'll say, "Uh, I hadn't thought of that... um, well, I don't know..."
And the meeting would go on from there until a solution was either reached or postponed.
Join the ALPB and help shape the future of intentional radiation.
