Hey You Can't Fix ThatThere are upcoming laws intended to prevent consumers from repairing appliances, vehicles or anything electronic. What kind of a hobby would we have if we couldn't repair our radio stations? People Who Stand Up for the Right to Repair

Well, just another example of who runs the country and who the laws are for. Doesn't matter....try telling someone they can't do their own brakes? Or if a piece of electronics malfunctions I can't open it up and fix myself. But a few examples in the article are violations of a certification like modifying a DVD player to play a disk that wasn't intended to be played on it.

I have previously read this about folks wanting to repair their iPhones or their tractors. Definitely an over-reach. I work with traffic signals amoung other things.
I have been offered a technology that tracks location of any blue tooth, wifi, cellular, etc, device.
This technology is proposed for tracking to obtain statistics about vehicle and pedestrian movement.
Turn off the cell phone you say? Newer vehicles use blue tooth, wifi and cellular for a variety of things such as tire pressure monitors, hands free cell through vehicle radio, emergency locator, etc, to name a few.
Data from these sensors will be centralized so one community can use others data.
I'll be able to follow someone in there travels.
Always heard there'd be a Big Brother. Didn't know it could be me.

You could be the target of you-know-who's "Legal Department." Just a fellow ALPB'er looking out for another ALPB'er.
