Live365 distinguishes between "Active Listeners" and "Session Starts." Active listeners are logged on for at least 2 minutes. Session Starts are just that, starts but may disconnect after a few seconds. Active Listeners count is much lower that the starts. Live365 also allows the broadcaster the capability of blocking specific IP addresses.

RadioBoss is Very Good: Druid Hills Radio I forgot about that one. Loudcaster which was another branch of LoudCity at the time had a deal with RadioBoss when the software was first out. Their Compressor/limiter is fairly good out of the box and can be tweaked as well. Folks in the forums can help you with that if you need.
Social relations and face to face meetings make the difference: You get the town involved and they want you to announce non profit events this goes a long way for you help the town and in return it gets you more credibility and donations. Be sure to follow all FCC rules as when you run a high profile station their are those busy bodies who can (just because they can) take you down. We have seen many examples like Ken Cartwrght (hope I spelled that right).
I have a few folks working behind the scene fighting alongside Michelle Bradley for a Hobby Broadcast (Micro Broadcast Service). The New Radio Revolution will succeed in time. We are seeing FCC agents at least listening to the idea. My station programming has been recorded and is on the FCC archives.
Pro LPFM associates are working with The New Radio Revolution but have not posted on our site. After the take down of part15(dot)us I believe that web forums are not safe to use as discussions about proposals to the FCC. So we work in private and help pave a road we all can be happy about.

Part15.us was NOT taken down by fellow radio broadcasters, or the FCC or anyone like that.
It was compromised by ransomware, which is criminal activity.
Let's not get too paranoid.

I wondered about a P-15-US takedown myself, not seeing the ransom note when that happened, just that the server was down. The site had been down several times this month, more than usual, just before this latest incident.
Glad to hear it's not that.
