Going Off Again
KDX and KHZ Worldround Radio closed all day Saturday for rare cleaning of studio, but only achieved part of the job, which was continued Easter Sunday during another shutdown.
Yet another attempt is scheduled today, Monday, during another cold dark day here in FEMA Region VII.
We need to save audio files from a troubled hard-drive and move some dust.
Eventually we'll return so we can serve our 0 listeners. Or, more truthfully, our 1 listener (me).

Little Set Backs
So, after removing a hard-drive to make space for installing a troubled hard-drive the behavior of that older drive was different now from when it was removed.
When it was removed its files could still be moved to a different location, and today we planned to complete that process... but all the folders on the drive showed EMPTY and no audio files could be found.
Put everything back together and attempt to start the day but most pathways between the Zara playlist and the programs were dead.
We discovered that the drive letters assigned to each drive had played musical chairs and re-assigned themselves to different partitions. This not only affected Zara but TightVNC, the Network tying the 2-computers together, now opened the wrong drive because it had retained the old Lettering Table.
I considered firing Pierre Linear, our chief engineer, but he hasn't been involved in this mess, I'm the one who walked into it. But being fair is not on my agenda today so, in the American corporate style, someone should be let go.
I know! We'll send notice to Bill Gates! "Dear Mister Gates: Your services will no longer be required. Please remove your Windows junk from the building and seek shame counseling."
