Comments are welcome.
1. Introductions from each member. Approximately 5 minutes.
2. Salute to outgoing Chairman Bob Felmly. This could take a lot longer, but it will be held to 5 minutes (we don't want Bob's head to get too swollen).
3. Roundtable Discussion. Each attending member is given up to 5 minutes to outline their view of the ALPB now, and moving forward. This could be anything from not commenting at all, to being happy now and keeping things the same, to new ideas, to disbanding it entirely. Dependent upon # members attending, but approximately 45 minutes.
4. Open Discussion. Up to 15 minutes of free discussion, agreements, disagreements. Facilitated (but not participated in) by the Temporary Chairman.
5. Plan for Moving Forward. Motions (if any), task assignments (if any). 10 minutes
6. The Process of Electing a New Chairman. Nominations, timeframe, etc. 10 minutes
7. Close of Meeting.
8. Social.
I hope to hold the formal part of the meeting to one hour and a half. Even though that is relatively long, it will no doubt be challenging to keep it to within even that length, given the discussion material. I'm not a fan of run on meetings. If it ends up shorter, so much the better - it just leaves more time for social activities.
I am proposing that we table all ongoing old business until these pressing issues are dealt with.

Is there going to be an open bar?

Only at the end of the meeting.
Although, come to think of it, maybe it should be before the meeting starts.

Warding Off Embarrassment
Let it be known that I, Carl Blare, am not in the running for leadership offices, i.e., chairman, administrator, of ALPB. I say this to prevent being (possibly) nominated, to which I'd need to decline.
I am definitely on board as a continuing member and if I can provide support to the leadership please, no matter who is appointed, feel free to call on me.

Sarcasm is a Tool of Expression
Druid Hills sticks by sarcasm as ALPB leadership is decided.
Benjamin Franklin and other great Americans came before you, and you come after them.

Since I can't be there as I don't have the program needed I have for what it's worth given my thoughts on the thread "Whither goest the ALPB" and my reply to Carl's post "Still coming up with ideas for the big remake" sums up where I sit.

To Member Mark
You will be represented at the meeting...
Something we'll have to discuss is whether those not present can vote for a new leader or even be considered for leadership!
Previously we've held the rule that only those present at meetings could vote, and the reason for that was simplicity... the long delay times to notify non-attendees and collect their votes was beyond the time Chairman could devote to the matter.
I know that our present Interim Admin wants to include votes of Forum members who are not at meetings, so watch for further news on this.

I think one can create a "poll" withing this board set with time limits.
