Welcome new member janzinker.
You're joining the ALPB & its Forum at an opportune time. After 5 years, we're in the process of reinventing ourselves, and you're invited to help us in the process.
Feel free to make any comments as to what you'd like to see us do, now and in the future.

Hello New Member. The ALPB offers a Certificate of Authority to members which looks very official and clearly states how we are allowed to operate license free low power broadcast stations. If you would like, I can generate one for your station and email to you for printing. I would need your name, location, station frequency and call sign or name of station. Click on sample certificate below for an enlarged view. If interested let me know and welcome aboard. Sample certificate:

Looks Official...
The certificate is issued by The ALPB.
Legal? In the sense that it displays that which allows you to legally operate your station. The rule(s) specific to your location is shown on the certificate. The ALPB is not granting authority, the stated rule(s) is.
We have issued certificates to Member Stations in the United States of America, New Zealand and Canada. For those with multiple stations (LW, AM, FM, SW) a certificate for each is available stating the applicable rule(s).
So if someone questions your operation, you can show them the certificate which lists the regulatory agency rule(s) legally allowing your station operation.
And, it looks nice hanging on the wall!

Never knew this. About the certificate. Would look good. Can I have one made for me for BETS-1 Canada? I can post or send the actual reading of the specs for you?
But it's not called part 15 here.

What I Did
MRAM printed my certificate which will be framed and hung by the oversized desk. He would have been willing to design a certificate for each of my stations but I asked that all the FCC Part #'s applying to all my ventures be condensed on one document so I wouldn't need to have so many frames on the wall.
My certificate covers longwave, AM band antenna operation, AM band carrier current, and shortwave.
