Since I also brought up the idea of having Bob Felmly alongside to keep the questions flowing, you and I are the two retired guys in the deal so we probably have more open time... I'm closing shop for today but will get in the Email tomorrow to roll the ball! Your station story doesn't have to be interesting. The listeners of the show like it if just the word "radio" is said as many times as possible. And on a more serious note, listeners in general enjoy hearing people talking. Another One Added to the ListAlso, having mentioned an interest in food programs in another thread, I plan to do a short food series called... Carl's Food Truck - Live from the Upper Management Lounge in the Internet Building, I already have a minimalist kitchen with one electric burner, a toaster oven, a stainless steel vegetable steam pan, and a bachelor sized refrigerator. My key to healthy meals is the most direct route from stocking the food to getting it eaten. Simplicity is the essential ingredient. If the series takes off I could have guests describe their shortcuts. I don't think there's a show like that so it might be the one that makes a name for us. Don't look now, but it's "Mr. Food"! Background: "Mr. Food" was a guy who, in the 80s, used to do short cooking features during the WWOR-TV (Secaucus, NJ, serving the NYC area) news. His catch phrase was "oooh, IT'S SO GOOD"!! LOL.

Goofing Off in the Production Room
Three days so far working on the Low Power Hour with Jim Henry and Bob Felmly, there were some technical stumbles that we got taken care of, and the show is within five-minutes of being done.
I thought I had a script written for another episode of "The Last Minute Radio Theatre" but it turns out only to be a one-line reminder of an idea, which seemed better when I first thought it but maybe the mood will return.
It is easy to do the main part of these programs, it's the minutes and seconds of empty space that need to be filled in that cause the most challenge.
The question I ask is this: "If this radio program were produced by someone better than I am, what would they do?"

That reminds me of what a station manager said when he asked for more work... "Carl you're our best announcer, but we can't afford to pay you any more."
