Got a Lot Out of It
End80, I watched through the video and was inspired by it because I like to see examples of people taking low power radio seriously and developing novel uses for it.
I very much appreciate how you (End80) explore the side avenues of LPR (Low Power Radio) and bring us (at the ALPB) detailed reports about what people are doing.
By the time we have developed so many uses for LPR we will end up using every last drop of available spectrum space.

Got a Lot Out of ItI very much appreciate how you (End80) explore the side avenues of LPR (Low Power Radio) and bring us (at the ALPB) detailed reports about what people are doing. Although that video was released in 2001, it's companion booklet was originally published in 1992 - and the booklet quotes some of the people in the video! - so that makes me think the video was actually shot earlier... Of course it could also very well be that the book had been revised for the video release. - Either way, the content still holds viable today.
EDIT: Oh I forgot what I was going to say.. My exploring of all the "side avenues" is my way of staying in the game.. What I mean is, although I am regularly broadcasting, I not really operating what one would call any semblance of a community station - SO.. exploring side avenues of part 15 keeps the fire burning for me until I actually get underway.
But that Sea Grant video is actually old news which most part 15 hobbyist have been aware of for a long time - but the video hasn't been online anywhere for years, so I requested the cd from ISS

Oregon Sea Grant video,,, That's an enjoyable and illustrative vid. I have had a link to it on my station's web page for several months. It helps show what can be done.
