What Goes Online is Forever
We hear it all the time... anything typed into a computer keyboard can never be taken down; with all computers tied together by the internet everything is permanently out there for all time.
Then why is it that deleted data can never be brought back?
Yes, I know there are software tools that can resurrect certain deleted hard-drive files, but that's only A.) if they've been saved to the hard-drive in the first place, and B.) so long as it hasn't been written over.
The other day I wanted to bring back a form previously uploaded to this website and deleted by myself, but I changed my mind and wanted to retrieve it but it no longer exists unless and until we learn the original source that a member brought it from.
Another idea that doesn't hold true in real life is the notion that anything can be "Googled" (found).
The number of empty web searches could fill the Grand Canyon, assuming that "emptiness" can fill anything other than a school girl's "feelings".

Maybe there's a chance you can retrieve it via the internet archive.. of course that depends on just how long that form had even been posted here and if you know what page it had been on, but it's worth a try: archive.org/web/What form are you talking about?

It Was Jim Henry's "Petition"Because the "Petition" link wasn't explained I took it down because it looked like extreme right-wing business, but now we want it back for further discussion. Here

Why can't you ask Jim Henry to simply repost it?.. Or would that be to simple?

Make It Simple
End80: "Why can't you ask Jim Henry to simply repost it?.. Or would that be too simple?"
Jim said he has erased his copy but said he'd look for it again...
But you know how it is, sometimes we lose track of where something came from.
With luck he will find it and then we'll go from there.
