The FM Initiative being spear-headed by The Legacy has sustained (remained constant) and grown in strength, which excites me (Carl Blare) to become even more enthusiastic than I was at the start. My opening reaction to the question of seeking more output power for Part 15 FM was two-sided: 1.) On the one hand I already considered the dinky allowance for field strength under 15.239 to be stupid and an insult to interested parties who wish to provide small FM stations for very local broadcast service; 2.) but on the other hand were my secret unexpressed feelings that the FM Initiative would soon die out because of the obstacles and complications of seeking changes from the FCC. But TheLegacy has not backed off and despite negative criticism from ungraceful people who profess hopelessness as their way of life, TheLegacy stands his ground and sees a future with better Part 15 FM. With all those thoughts in my head I wandered into a website of a consulting engineer who represents people seeking experimental licenses from the FCC to launch broadcast projects not covered by existing rules. With an experimental license TheLegacy and other participants would be able to legally operate stations at higher power to demonstrate that no harm is caused to the overall condition of the FM band. stevencrowley.com/Read his "About" page.

Great find Carl. I would hope this guy lends an ear to the FM Initiative and at least offer his perspective on the effort.
