We All Share a Purpose
The common person might look at his or her dial and wonder why anyone would bother with a small radio station when there are so many big radio stations that have walls.
The reason I mention walls is because the powerful stations have FCC licenses hanging on them.
Allow me to call your attention, speaking to regular people, to the programming being sent on the licensed stations. Do you not agree that it's putrid, stupid, unpleasant, stinky and really bad?
Take a moment, then, to consider the smart alternative found on the little stations where lovely and splendid programming finds a home.
That's all there is to it. People saving their radios by generating programs worth hearing. That's the whole idea behind hobby radio and it makes perfect sense.
Joining the ALPB is a step up on the ladder of society.

DHR makes the important reminder: "LPFM's are low power too. :-)"
Not only that, LPFMs also have license walls.
LPFMs are good and DHR is a Full Member With Benefits of the ALPB!

Good Radio Men
DHR brought the reader's attention to the idea of "a good radio man" and that's what the ALPB tries to do with every member.
Good Radio Men are men who get results. And if you look around it's easy to notice that every one of our members is result oriented.
Holding a seminar on "Principles of Result Getting" would even be counter-redundant in that every one of us already practices what needn't be preached for that very reason.
For outsiders, perhaps contemplating a holiday membership package, attaining results starts with aim: one aims for results in all life activities both inside and outside radio.
Good aim is a matter of approach. We approach every aim with results in mind.
Don't delay.

That's a reason that antique radio collectin' folk like to have low power transmitters of their own, a transmitter adds value to their collections.
