Wondering About Radio's Self Driving Future
The attorneys will have a job figuring out what new laws will be needed to regulate self-driving cars.
No one can even imagine all the potential uses for truly "auto" mobiles.
It's fun to imagine new possibilities...
Imagine a brightly colored red/white short "tower" on top of your "radio car", the way a lit Domino's Pizza is seen on delivery vehicles in the present time. Neon call letters optional.
No doubt self-driving cars will be drive-able from the computer work station at home so you could send it to populated locations with on-board radio station sending album rock and commercials for nearby merchants.
Put a high-tech coffee vending machine on the rear end and park it in the center of business parking lots at lunch time.
If you car pool with a lovely co-worker you could instruct the car to choose the most traffic clogged routes and tell her there is plenty of time for mutual consent, so long as she follows the new law and says "yes" every 10-minutes (a law actually being considered by a college somewhere).
On a long trip you could get a good nap.
One problem I wonder about is how the car will interpret ordinary conversations... it will be trying to figure out what it's supposed to do. It might think you said "beat the train to the crossing".
