Over at part15.us, member Robert kc8gpd asked for help in doing some voice 1-liners for his newly operating part 15 radio station. It sounded like fun, and I volunteered.
Here's how it went.
Since I produce a regular 10-minute radio show known as "Blare OnAir Lite", I used Robert's script of 1-liners for his 1670 AM, and made the recording session part of my show, Program No. 93.
The next thing Robert asked me to do was cut the seven voice tracks into separate audiofiles with 1-second lead-ins and lead-outs, which I was able to do over the next two days. They are now in his hands, and everything should be in great shape.
Here's what I learned.
Doing the recording session as part of my show was fun, and I will be happy to do the same thing for any part 15 station that sends a short script of 1-liners.
But I have decided that post-editing of the recording session is difficult, since my schedule fills up fast and time becomes precious.
Therefore my Terms of Service are that I will record a voice-session using the script sent by part 15ers, but it will become their responsibility to snip out the good takes and polish up the tracks.
Not a bad deal, and it's only being posted here on the ALPB site, but you do not have to be a member of ALPB to get my help. Just send a short script to carl@kdxradio.com
This offer is limited to Part 15 FCC compliant radio stations only.
