Today In Most Locations
Depending on what calendar you go by it will be Friday the 13th until tomorrow.
I'm not superstitious, are you?
The reverse of number 13 is 31, and this month will mean Halloween, which most of you acknowledge in some way and the candy industry relies on for their black day (like Black Friday for general retail).
Donald Trump masks are big this year. Harvey Weinstein is neck and neck.
Talking about this stuff on the air can shake listeners up.

Its subliminal in our minds
If you keep telling yourself your going to have bad luck because its Friday the 13th I guarantee you will have bad luck all day. Your mind can often play tricks on you by the power of suggestion.
A few students decided to play a food poisoning scare tactic. 5 of them said "My Stomach Hurts" about 1 hour after eating in the cafeteria to try and get out of having to go to class. Unannounced to the students who were not a part of the scam suddenly thought Oh No Food poisoning. The compared notes as to what the boys age compared to what they ate and the ones who ate the same food had also had a stomach ache but at different times.
Some students who had the same meal had no ache because they didn't know the formula that would have caused the ache. The teachers finally caught on but decided to trick the boys who played the hoax. They then asked everyone what they had for lunch. Some said Pizza and Fries and cookies for desert. Some had Broccoli and cheese with some fruit for dessert. Watching what the 5 boys had some of the class mates had the same food as the 5 who started the hoax and had no ill effects.
The boys were ordered to sit down in class and take the test and not to try and play that sort of trick ever again. The moral of the story is that the power of suggestion made some of the healthy students sick for they were waiting for the first sign of a upset stomach. Their stomach got upset due to worry of what would happen to them for they ate the same meal.
So is Friday the 13th an elaborate hoax? you can judge for yourself by this example of the power of suggestion.

The Big Hoax
TheLegacy wonders: "So is Friday the 13th an elaborate hoax? you can judge for yourself by this example of the power of suggestion."
I happen to think that everything is a hoax, but some people just think I'm a hoax.
You're sure right about the power of suggestion and radio is able to amplify that power which gives us advertising, propaganda talk shows, religious salvation and late night paranormal scares.
Music is double suggestive because it aims directly toward the emotions.
It makes hobby radio a purveyor of hoaxes.
