Actually Druid Hills Radio said it this way but didn't have enough room under a reply about How To check If an Internet Station is Licensed legally to play music or not. Druid Hills posted "SEEK A NEW CATEGORY OF SERVICE UNDER A DIFFERENT SECTION OF FCC RULES."
OK here I will state again and again THAT IS WHAT THE NEW RADIO REVOLUTION WAS ATTEMPTING TO DO SINCE 5/5/2015!!
But... the goal was sent a drift when Me The Legacy and a few members like Atrain, Operator decided it was important to keep some information away from Public Enemy #1 and his trolls on a well known enemy site to Hobby Broadcasting that I will NO go into and set up an Elite Board so that we can talk about sensitive topics without the prying eyes of Trolls making people afraid to publish because of fear of any repercussions of anti FM's looking to stomp out individual broadcasting. This was to be done to construct an iron clad bullet proof rebuttal to the organizations who would otherwise have a well prepaid fight against us. Shock and Awe was our weapon of choice giving the nay Sayers little room to prepare a weapon to kill our proposal.
Some thought that I was a dictator because I insisted to hold and enforce strict security measures on The New Radio Revolution's site. However from the get go our mission statement was to be the seaqual to the old Prometheus before it had to be watered down.
Now that this is out in the forefront we at the New Radio Revolution supports Hobby Broadcasting without strangling regulations that would hamper an individual from getting a chance to broadcast in areas that are rural like Deltaville, VA, Edenton, NC, Whitestone, VA and yet would have little to no effect on commercial broadcasters (if anything it would invite friendly creative programming to encourage more folks to buy a High End Radio aka Tecsun, County Comm, Digitech, Stereo's like Yamaha) to pull in these low powered hobby stations and in return folks do scan the dial when a not so favorite song is played by the Hobby Station. This even gives a commercial broadcaster a chance people in the rural areas who'd otherwise buy a garbage Radio like Emerson, K-Mart Blue Light Special, Dollar store off brand piece of junk Radio.
The strangling rules to cut should be as follows:
#1 having to be a part of a organization Good concept but Bad Idea. A Hobby Broadcaster may elect to broadcast from a school or library if they were to donate why not? But again we're talking about rural areas like Deltaville, VA, Whitestone, VA, Edenton, NC where is the Library in some of those areas?
#2 Business model - What??? Since where did Hobby and Business model come up politically correct in a sentence? Again this is just to snub the Hobby Broadcaster and this is not right. I'm sure at first the station will set up a format not already programmed in that area, however should the hobbyist not have the chance to expose musical culture to an otherwise brainwashed and diluted minds of many folks unknowingly because of the forces of organizations who wish to make Rap and Top40 the Only musical genre? Isn't this called education? But I'm sure the FCC will bulk this one so we'll also include Emergency Programming but to be careful otherwise multi thousand dollar EAS equipment will be mandated to hopefully choke off individual hobby broadcasting.
#3 Content restrictions? We understand the cursing or hate promotions but Honestly stopping a station from playing Music that is NOT acceptable and only encourages Radio Pirates. Reason for so is that for too long the individual has been cut off from a legal means to broadcast without signing away his or her first born child, cutting off their right arm to LEGALLY do so.
And here is the final thing most dread - Legalize 87.7 and 87.9 Mhz. For God's Sake I can point out at the dollar store's where you can buy off the shelf a transmitter that goes down there unmodified. To keep stressing this already used by many's favorite frequency for non commercial Radio would mean BIGGER headaches to the FCC. Give it up the frequency is now a Public Access Channel first come first serve. I already hear the repack song don't even try that one.
And if this doesn't convince you maybe this will. Big Country just below the Maryland line is A Licensed FM Station down there And they even have Wow playing the same programming around 101 point something can't remember now. So though the number of licensed FM stations are few down there we do have some. By allowing Hobbyist that frequency the FCC can be rest assured that most of them will stay down there and yet would have no ill effect on the rest of the band even at the 5 Watt level Canada now enjoys for their community Broadcast service.
New Radio Revolution has been fighting behind the scene for this well talked about service but we need the support. I've tried to get Transmitter manufacturers on board but they want to see a well functional and organized group before taking the plunge. Just think what we would have accomplished had we had the die hard supporters I started to seek since the beginning of the group. But just like some Amateur Radio clubs that I've seen you have a few workers and many many more leaches (takers who want to rejoice in the results but m make it happen). Lazy America at it's finest example. So Pirate Radio continues because no one wants to give an inch and yet there are many waiting in the wings while waiting for someone to magically make it happen for them. And to make things worse I've seen some complain when trolls want to claim that they are illegal and splatter this all over their facebook page. They try and lobby for help on where? A part 15 site Really?
This is why we had an Elite section. We have folks not tolerate of thse people and may well have a solution for that. Think Commodore 64/128, Teletrials, consequences for being a hacker/Phone Pirate/whatever and yet accuse others of the illegal activities you may engage in and or your associates. United we stand and divided we fall. The World Needs Guts!
Truly I ask you all Are you mice or MEN? If the latter I encourage some of you to show yourself at the New Radio Revolution and pave the way for a fair and usable Hobby Individual broadcasting service that often can serve a small village with great programming.
