Got To Tell Before Forgetting
You know how some people get bent out of shape when threads drift off topic?
Ya, someone starts posting about carrier current but within six replies we are talking about drinks in the studio.
I was talking to my friend Professor Manfred Tweed from Homeschool College and he said,
Thread drift is a natural consequence of dialogue.

Another Thing I'm Quickly Forgetting
Earlier today I saw that October 9th on the calendar is printed in red, the color reserved for Sundays and holidays, but no words about what holiday it would be.
Wikipedia listed so many events all over the world connected to October 8th that I did the only thing I could do, I produced a Blare OnAir Lite Show about my befuddlement.
Finally word came through by way of a Columbus Day Sale email.
Explains that.

October 9th celebrates the day that sea pirates came to rob and cheat the people who were living productive lives.

Radio and Its Trenches
Have you ever had a radio job where you wondered whether you should quit or get fired?
So have I.

On Two Faced People
When I meet 2-faced people I usually fall for both faces. It's like having two friends in one.
What does that have to do with radio?
Let's put it this way... what makes you think it doesn't have something to do with radio?

That's No Good
I've been reading about "adding visual elements" to your radio program.
I hate that.
It's a pointless attempt to change radio into television.
No one should ever see what's on the radio, that's what keeps it magical.
This is one time when the ALPB will protest in unseen streets.

Nodding Agreement
DHR phones in: "The theater of the mind comes to mind."

Listen to some of the Lights Out shows in a darkened room with a tube radio providing the only illumination demonstrates what true horror really is.
The mind (and imagination) is always more powerful than any visual.
