Wealth of Radio Related Goodness
Oh my gosh that link about the history of a carrier current station, besides being a very very rich story in itself, contains perhaps over a hundred links to other fascinating radio stories.
This link is good for months of entertainment!

Hey Druid Hills Radio thanks for the Carrier Current Radio Station Story. Wish I had been a camper and got my Class C Radio License. This station sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn about broadcasting and yet serve a great community.
It was too bad that the range had to be down graded from a 3-6 mile coverage to the confinement of the camp however still quite fun while you serve a community of campers and Radio enthusiasts alike.

WOCR Ocean City, MD True Rock with Album Rock too. A wonderful story and the promos were awesome. Like the cards they had as well. Who says Hobby Radio isn't good for the community. I'm willing to bet anyone near the power lines in Ocean City would have heard that one.
Funny how around 1979 WOCR was the call letters of a station on Olivet Community College I worked for during the Summer of 1979. Great stuff to hear about.
