is there not a single person among Bill's flock who hasn't completely swallowed the kool-aide?? Nope, you have to have taken down so many FM pirates and not associate with other competitive part 15 sites, or if you do, you can not share his valuable resources with them. Sad, but true. Need I say anymore? Bruce.

I don't know if someone could use a VPN and then sign up under an assumed name or not. It would be quite hard because as Mr. Bruce said you have to meet requirements in order to get to the upper sections of the forum. It seems as though there are the same regulars over their.
You can find out more information on boards like Radio Brandy, Part15.us, this one and The-Initiative. What should be public info I do post over on there.
As far as taking down FM Pirates I was listening to Ham's talking on 7.235 (I think it was the correct frequency just above 7.200 Mhz) on the AM side and they were talking about how FM Pirates made them want to buy a Radio and listen because Radio in their area was dull. They brought up several things about the subject that some of the folks may find interesting and educational. None of the Hams talked about taking them down in fact quite the opposite attitude. Listening to the Ham bands is not only fun but you learn a few things too along the way.

Not true, in my area, a 2 meter no code knucklehead said it's his job to turn in FM pirates, although he was one himself and got caught with a 1 watt ramsey FM transmitter by the real FCC, also used a ham radio to announce on Walmart's licensed employee walkie talkie channel that there was an armed gunman shooting up people in their parking lot, got arrested for such. But he still holds a ham ticket. Figure that one out will you? His ham license # is Kb1rbi He runs an Internet based radio station from New London Connecticut and has recently zeroed in on us as competition and with much slander by contacting our Facebook page members telling them we can't use WFPN in our name because we are not licensed by the FCC to use such blah blah blah and illegal, but clearly, as long as we are not mimicking a local licensed station we can call ourselves whatever we want. Plus clearly, our page states we are an INTERNET RADIO STATION, but people who do not understand that stuff will run scared because they do not want to be involved in anything illegal, so we lost a lot of on line listeners, and I mean A LOT! He got them to join his Facebook page and tune into his station. WFPN is not licensed to anyone in on air broadcasting anyways, query it at FCC.gov you'll see it is available even for a broadcaster. WFPN has a meaning compacted into an abbreviation and not reference to an AM or FM frequency, although we used rock 107.1 occasionally but he uses FM in his station name and I don't know about anyone else, there is no Frequency Modulation in an internet stream, so why use FM in your station name? Bruce.

Bruce these guys think that because they narc on others that they'll somehow get more leniency for the crimes they have done and appear to look like they are good boys now.
It is funny how a Ham Radio Pirate can get away with such stuff as you've mentioned. He may have got busted for the 1 Watt because of a few things. One being that he is well known to have done other stupid stuff and the FCC was looking at him under a microscope in the first place. Two CT is mighty close to Pirate Radio problems and too close to certain snobs we won't get into. Three the Ramsey has a certain image issue as discussed by Station8 and has been published on our Public Section of The-Initiative for all to see.
However the issue has been sort of corrected on his Ramsey it is an issue that most may not have known about and you add the 1 Watt board and the problem is greatly amplified. This was another reason we wanted to let all folks know about this.
Don't be fooled stations that have FM in them more than likely are operation on FM either part-time under the radar or Full Time. Maybe he is jealous because he was busted because he was stupid and didn't check his transmitter to be sure it was clean as well as transmitting in a large Radio market near problem areas. I've reviewed many NOUO's most are from folks with more money than common sense.
As far as this snob going after your station I say he is jealous your doing so well and those truly loyal folks will continue to listen and support you no matter what some blow hard says and could care less if your licensed or NOT. If they don't than you don't want them anyhow. I wish you the best of luck with your station. Maybe you should have promos for Hobby Radio and those who attempt to kill it due to their own greed.
Their will come a time whereas you have to Fight or Flight. I say if you love your hobby you Fight to the death if necessary.

Their will come a time whereas you have to Fight or Flight. I say if you love your hobby you Fight to the death if necessary. Thelegacy he called a local television station about his FM station, they did a news article on his station, he knew he was illegal, he bought the transmitter kit and the Ramsey separate 1 watt amplifier kit and built an FM dipole out of an FM radio receiver T wire. I do not remember the model number of the kit, but it was one of the cheapest ones that Ramsey sold and required a tuning tool to tune, it drifted about every hour off and on 90.7 FM reached 3 miles in all directions. This was back in 2004 or so, after the article was aired on the news, he got an unannounced visit from FCC agents who told him to shut it down and they took his kits with them. Years later, he gets a no code ham ticket for HF, 2 meters. Bruce.

How can one Internet station be competition for another Internet station? I too looked the guy up.
I'd ban him from my Facebook & Twitter pages, and then ignore him. You could respond in kind, but then that's degrading yourself down to his level, and not worth it (IMHO).
I might be tempted to report him to the FCC as a possible pirate (based on his having FM in his station's name, and his dubious past with transmitters) and the various licensing bodies, such as BMI, ASCAP, etc. The latter especially if he's running his own servers.
But again, the best solution is just to ban and ignore.

I blocked him long ago on my personal account, but he is not stupid about Internet stuff, he knows all the loopholes. He even went as far as publishing a live video on his Facebook page calling me by name and saying a lot of lies about me, really insulting ones like I'm toothless from smoking crack blah blah, I have all my teeth, his viewers responded to it and believed everything he said. I recorded it with a camera in video mode. Bruce.

A friend of mine who also lives in the Denver area tried to sign up over at hobby broadcaster and was automatically rejected by bills registration system. An email to bill yielded no response. I can't see how he is getting any new users with his registration process as it currently is set.

You have to either be a NAB member,SBE certified, Ham or possess an FCC ticket of some type to be a part of that flock.
Because I started the New Radio Revolution you know I am public enemy number 1. But I did have restricted access for a bit there.
