Anyone monitor 13.560 mHz? That's a frequency in the Industrial-Scientific-Medical group. Some Part 15 operators are using that frequency which allows about 14,000 uV/m at 30 meters, a fair signal. I was listening the other day and heard what sounds like a beacon. A keyed carrier on for about 200 msec repeating at one second intervals. The beep comes and goes. Sometimes stronger and tonight there was also another carrier with what sounded like voices. Unfortunately I was away from the radio so I couldn't check it out. I'm listening remotely by streaming the audio. If you'd like to take a listen the audio is at this link: 13.560 mHz Beacon . The link works with WinAmp and some other MP3 players. I'll keep it online for a few days. I usually hear it in the evening between 17:30 and 21:00 Eastern Daylight and it comes and goes so don't be surprised if you just hear static.

Great news for my beacon. Boomer saw a post on HFUnderground where someone reported hearing my beacon in North Carolina! Not bad for 5 milliwatts into a ground mount vertical in NE Ohio.

I was around when you put the Black Cat Systems beacon up recently, and have tried to hear it myself without success, so when I saw the report of it, that was pretty exciting! I'll have to use a more distant web SDR maybe with a propagation report and see if I can hear it too.
I've heard CW beacons before, in the rumble of noise that's always on 13.560.
