Just like the cover of Patty Duke's 'You Don't Own Me' by Grace was thought to be a great new song.
It would be nice if those in the music industry had at least some knowledge of the history (even relatively recent history).

When I was getting into music as a lil' pup, all these great new songs were coming out on pop radio, only to find out later that many of them were remakes. I don't know the percentage, but added up, it's a lot of songs.
