I like that, more chance for listeners. I thought that Smart Phones had FM radios.

Not Sure
The ALPB has not taken a position on the question of FM chips in SmartPhones.
It is generally believed that there are no telephone chips in FM radios.

My FM phone radio has always worked, in Droide and Windows devices I have, in fact, the radios are excellent receivers that can separate signals and pull in weak ones. If you get your chip activated, you're probably in for a treat.

I had to laugh at the post where it was talking about how the FM radio inside the phones would not receive very well because of the type of antenna. How they forget about the Walkman which received quite well in fact Toshiba had a very nice one. This thing was extremely hot and could receive stations quite far and rivaled the home stereo system indeed.di4

All smartphones have FM capability, most allow it but most notably the iPhone does not. The headphone antenna has never worked well, the old walkmans had built in or telescoping antennas that worked wonderfully well considering their size. (Its a bit of a stretch to say any walkman rivaled a home receiver but they did do respectably well.)
