I'd like an 'exclosure', everything would be built on the outside. Tyco is-was a toy company, I used to have Tyco stuff. If they deal with molding plastics, it might be the same company.

Howdy All: Here is a correction.
Tyco is now TE CONNECTIVITY
Carl: I don't know everything I just do my research. From my passed job I did work with metal enclosures & also modify them for the company's President and VP as well for the engineers for the company.
Boomer: Tyco did make trains and toys. But the Tyco I was talking about they made connectors, molex pins, Etc.now there under Te connectivity.
If you want an enclosure look under. ( Do a Google search on the company & Mfg )
BRANDS - And see what they have!
MFG - And see what they have!
That's it

Howdy All: Keep this in mind as well!
When getting a enclosure should you use paint or powder coating?
You should use powder coating it cost a little more ,But will hold up in harsh weather better !
That's all for now

Greenlee Experience
I still have a batch of Greenlee chassis punches that I bought when I did a lot of tube equipment building. Like Jeff says, they are great!
You start with an ordinary drill to make a hole in the metal, you put the strong screw attached to half of the Greenlee punch through the hole, screw on the other half of the punch, use a pliars to tighten and tighten and the punch actually cuts a smooth neat round hole through the metal.
I think I even have a square punch which will cut a square hole.

Those square hole punches make it very nice for those little rubber stands that you can place at the bottom of your project to prevent it from scratching the surface of furniture or even your other components that you might stack it on top of.

I worked with Tyco now TE for years as one of my vendors. We purchased CWDM muxes and demuxes from them as well as other fiber related stuff including fiber enclosures. Howdy All:
Jim the company I worked for also ordered from tyco as well!
Just so you know you can get metal & plastic enclosure s from the company's above.
Now I can tell you the aluminum case for the procaster tx is to small for the sstran tx.
Keep in mind the procaster aluminum case was made special for them so finding the same case will be difficult You will have to see what vendor will come close in what you need.
Happy hunting

Actually while I put the transmitter out today in a Tupperware container, I remembered another enclosure I have from when I was evaluating strand mounted WIFI access points. I'm not going to swap out the Tupperware yet as my priority is to get the station on the air but down the road I'll put the 5000 in this enclosure.
