I'm a board member of Sacramento's community cable non-profit, which recently received a low power FM license. For the past decade, we've had a number of radio programmers creating online-only content. As we transition terrestrial radio, I'm wondering if there are any best practices guidelines or tips for empowering these and future radio volunteers under the elected board.

What are your concerns regarding the volunteers actions?
How are these volunteers managed now? What authority do these volunteers currently have? If they are permitted to produce content, is is not already authorized under the elected board?
The volunteers would need be brought up to speed regarding the FCC Obscenity rules. They would need to understand the non-commercial aspect of LPFM stations.
More information regarding how your organization operates now would be required to know where changes may be needed.
