Hmm. It's not Part 15 but "TIS". I think we all wish we had 10 watts. 😢

The Future As I See It
Long after talk of AM revitalization fades away, the AM band will evolve naturally into the following:
T.I.S. stations will be joined with each city's 50kW regional station and provide area-wide public information with or without commercials. About half a dozen radio careers will be retained.
The remainder of the dial will belong to household radio stations, millions of them, allowing homeowners to totally choose their own programming or share their programming with nearby neighborhoods. Each transmitter will contain a "New Radio Revolution Sticker" with a picture of TheLegacy and be allowed a full 1-Watt.
Real estate transactions will depend on a working transmission system being installed as part of every house certified by property inspectors belonging to the ALPB.
Druid Hills Radio and I will be spending senior citizenship in the Bahamas with our low power money.

Now that would be cool. I don't see why we sould not be allowed at least 1 Watt on AM if all the commercial stations start to move to FM. Maybe at least have more carrier current transmitters whereas its all built in and all you do is tune it sort of like some of the AM transmitters like the Greek ones do or Talking House with its built in tuning unit.
This technology could be made to work with Carrier Current and thus hobby stations could broadcast about 2 miles of clear signal right into the AC lines. Or hey why not make commercial AM stations go carrier current and that way it would get over the interference on AM? Nah that is too simple for them to do so it will be up to us.

Not all TIS operate at ten watts. There is a field strength limit also.
Our TIS runs at 8 watts which yields the max allowed field strength.
With that we get about 4 miles radius with plenty of bad areas. Power line noise is a big problem.

Yes, that was done shortly after the FCC approval.

Yes, that was done shortly after the FCC approval. Did that also include something like the 222 compliance processor as well?

Don't recall that but I use EQ to roll off from 5kHz on up.
For voice it still sounds very crisp.
Bill Baker of ISS visited and checked the FS and said it sounded fine.
